Media & Events

We’re often asked to speak at events and offer our point of view for media.

Here’s a selection of what we’ve been involved with recently.

19 Nov 2025: iTWire - Is workflow automation the ‘killer app’ for AI?

In a recent interview with iTWire, Hypergen founder Alex Papli shared why workflow automation is emerging as the most powerful business application of AI. Traditional robotic process automation (RPA) struggles with unstructured data like Word or PDF documents — a major bottleneck for organisations. Generative AI changes the game by interpreting these documents and making decisions without manual intervention.

13 Nov 2025: Executive Event: Turning AI Into Real Business Value [In Person]

Hypergen co-hosted the Turning AI into Real Business Value event, bringing together leaders from multiple industries with one goal: move from AI ambition to measurable outcomes.

We showcased real-world use cases already delivering operational efficiency and intelligent automation, proving that AI is no longer a question of “if” but “how fast”. The discussions highlighted a clear shift — organisations want practical ways to embed AI into strategy and scale responsibly.

To support that, we shared Hypergen’s structured framework for identifying and prioritising AI opportunities, anchored in Return on Investment (ROI). This approach resonated strongly with attendees looking for clarity and confidence in their next steps.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us. It’s exciting to see so many leaders moving decisively from exploration to execution.

23 Oct 2025: Governance Update on AI for Company Directors [In Person]

Hypergen’s founder, Alex Papli, joined the Australian Institute of Company Directors in Warrnambool to present on AI — what’s happening now and the risks leaders need to manage. It was a full house and a lively discussion, proving that regional businesses are just as eager to explore AI’s potential as their metropolitan counterparts.

The event highlighted why accessibility to professional development matters for regional prosperity. From governance updates to practical insights on AI adoption, the conversation reinforced that success isn’t about chasing hype — it’s about understanding risk, building trust, and applying AI strategically.

A big thank you to AICD, Sinclair Wilson, and all attendees for making this such an engaging session.

19 Aug 2025: AI Masterclass for Job Seekers

Hypergen, in partnership with Microsoft, recently co-hosted the AI Accelerate masterclass to help experienced professionals speak confidently about AI and stand out in interviews. Our goal was simple: give job seekers the same practical insights we share with businesses — no hype, no jargon, just real-world application.

The session covered:

  • AI fluency — key terms and concepts every leader should know.

  • Live demos of business-grade AI tools.

  • Case studies showing how AI drives efficiency and competitive advantage.

  • Frameworks for ranking and prioritising AI opportunities.

Why did we do it? Because understanding AI isn’t just for tech teams — it’s becoming essential for roles in finance, operations, marketing, and beyond. And we believe access to this knowledge should be free and inclusive, helping job seekers land their next role.

A huge thanks to MJ Mathew from Microsoft for joining us and sharing insights on AI transformation across industries.

19 September 2025: Navigating Data, AI and Ethics in Storytelling

At RMIT Online’s Skills Fest session, Hypergen joined a panel exploring one of today’s biggest questions: how do we harness AI’s potential without losing trust, ethics, or human originality?

The discussion made it clear: AI isn’t magic, and it isn’t a replacement for human judgment. As Alex Papli noted, our role is to demystify what AI can and can’t do — because clarity drives confidence. The future isn’t about competing with machines; it’s about collaborating with them.

Key takeaways for organisations:

  • Use AI strategically, not indiscriminately — start with clear use cases and clean data.

  • Build ethical guardrails early — address bias, privacy, and risk upfront.

  • Keep human creativity at the centre — AI should amplify ideas, not homogenise them.

Generative AI can unlock speed and scale, but the real value comes when we combine it with human insight and originality. That’s how businesses move from hype to impact.

20 June 2025: Leveraging AI for Business – Regional Event Recap

Last Friday, Hypergen joined the Leveraging Artificial Intelligence for Business event at RACV Torquay Resort, hosted by Regional Development Australia and the National AI Centre. It was a fantastic turnout, with businesses from across the region eager to explore how AI can deliver real impact.

The sessions provided a practical entry point for organisations, covering everything from better prompting in ChatGPT to real-world applications already driving efficiency. Our founder, Alex Papli, joined the panel alongside industry leaders to discuss how businesses can move from curiosity to execution.

Key highlights:

  • Practical demos of common AI use cases by Lisa Bennetto.

  • Insights from Boomaroo Nurseries on using AI for sustainable operations.

It’s encouraging to see so many regional businesses taking their first steps towards AI adoption. Hypergen is excited to help turn these opportunities into measurable outcomes.
